Happy 13 Uncle Jordan!

This morning my mom told me that it was my Uncle Jordan's 13th birthday. My Uncle Jordan is a pretty cool guy. When I was in Utah for Christmas he played with me a lot and was really good at making me laugh.

Anyway, when I found out it was his birthday today I wanted to make a sign that said "Happy Birthday Uncle Jordan". But, seeing as I can't write, my mom helped me out. She is just amazing at reading my mind, she always knows exactly what I want.

So, my mom made the sign and gave it to me to hold so she could take a picture. Well, as it turns out, I was fascinated with the and I couldn't hold it still for one second! Everything is so intriguing when you are only six months old! So, here are a few pictures, sorry you can't see the sign very well, she did the best she could!

So, thanks Uncle Jordan for being so cool and I am really excited to see you in June. We are getting our plane tickets today-thanks Grandma and Grandpa Toney!

And, as an added birthday bonus, here's a pretty stinkin' cute video of me-I just can't get enough of myself! Enjoy!

A Marshall Update

Marshall has TWO teeth now! I can't believe it! At his 6 month check-up his doctor noticed that one of his bottom teeth had just barely broken through his gums. Over the last couple of weeks it has come up a little more. Then, on Friday when I was feeding him lunch I noticed that his other bottom tooth had made its appearance! So now cute Marshall has his two bottom teeth at 6 1/2 months!

Earlier this week Richard got a new cell phone so he gave Marshall his old one to play with. It is now Marshall's new favorite toy, as you can tell from the pictures.

So far Marshall has loved everything we've fed to him. Of course, he likes some foods more than others, but he still eats everything. So far he's had sweet potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, and green beans (which he actually loves), applesauce, prunes, pears, and bananas.

Anyway, on Thursday I was feeding him lunch and he started pursing his lips together and making funny noises. I was cracking up and just had to grab the camera, so here's a little clip of our cute guy during lunch time. :)

Trip to Rochester

Last weekend we packed up our car and made the 4 hour drive to see our friends, Corey and Bekky, in Rochester. We had a great time and spent our weekend relaxing, eating great food, and of course, playing lots of games.

This was Marshall's longest car ride and he did great. Unfortunately, this is the only picture we have of the trip, but it is definitely a cute one. He was just chillin' in the driver's seat during a little break.

On the way home I rode in the back seat for the last half of the drive so I could feed Marshall his lunch. I did the same thing on our way to Rochester and it went great. Well, on the way home it didn't go so well. In a matter of minutes I manged to spill sweet potatoes all over my pants, shirt, and the car seat and my water bottle-it was definitely not the greatest experience. Oh well, great memories though!

Six Months!!!

Marshall hit the six month mark on Thursday-I can't believe it! On one hand I can't believe that he is already six months old, time has gone by so fast, but on the other hand, September feels like it was SO long ago!

Well, Marshall had his six month check-up on Friday and once again he checked out nice and healthy. We are so grateful to have a healthy, growing boy who is learning new things every day-what a blessing! The best part of check-ups is, of course, getting all the height and weight stats, so here they are: 17 pounds (45%), 27 inches long (75%), and head circumference of 45 cm. (80%)-I think its safe to say Marshall inherited the Toney head!

Marshall is doing great at eating solid foods. He has now had, and loves, sweet potatoes, peas, squash, applesauce, prunes, and pears.

He has always loved grabbing our hands while we are trying to feed him, but the last couple of days, he just grabs our pinky and then his arm moves with our hand as we go back and forth between the bowl and his mouth. Its pretty much like he is feeding himself and he just loves it. Tonight when I was feeding him he wouldn't even open his mouth until he had my pinky!

Marshall is also doing great at sleeping through the night. He goes down around 7:00 and the last three nights he has slept until 7:00 in the morning without waking up once-I am loving it!

Marshall is also doing really well at sitting up. He still falls over, but he just kind of slowly rolls down so he never really hits his head hard and he's only cried a couple of times-what a tough guy! Well, here's a little video I took, so enjoy!

A Great Dad

Isn't this a sweet picture?! It was taken while we were in Cheyanne with the Leakes for Thanksgiving.

Richard is such a wonderful dad and he loves playing with Marshall and Marshall loves playing with his daddy. Every day when Richard gets home Marshall is all smiles.

I know Richard wishes he could be home more, but he makes great use of the time he is with us. Thanks Richard for being such a great dad-we love you!

A Marshall Update

Well, here I am, back again, to share some great pictures of our cute little boy and lots of random little moments. Marshall will be six months old this week and I cannot believe how fast the time has gone! He is growing up so quickly and learning new things every day! Here's what he's been up to lately.

Marshall loves his exersaucer. This week he just started grabbing the toys that hang and he loves them. Each time he pulls on them they play songs and he just gets a kick out of it.

Last weekend we went to the Wisconsin Dells with three other families and Marshall had his first experience in a swimming pool. He wasn't too fond of it, but I wasn't expecting him too crazy about it since he still doesn't really love his bath. I definitely plan on getting him a swimming suit this summer and we will be spending lots of time in kitty pools. :) So here are some pictures from the pool and one other cute one from the weekend.

Richard just about killed me when he saw this picture. He was not thrilled to see Marshall wearing big, pink, sunglasses, but I just couldn't resist. Grace, a little girl we were with in the Dells, was sporting these sunglasses almost all weekend. She was kind enough to put them on Marshall for a little photo shoot. :)

Last week Marshall came down with a pretty bad cold. He is all better now, but for a couple days he had a fever and just wanted to sleep. This resulted in some interesting sleeping positions. One morning he fell asleep while I was feeding him rice cereal. Once his eyes closed he kept opening his mouth for the cereal. He actually almost finished it before he completely conked out. What a sweetheart-I love him!

Last week we also had his crib mattress propped up so he could breath better so we also had the bumper pads off. One afternoon when he was down for a nap I went in to check on him and this is what I found...

Here is a video of Marshall's first experience with sweet potatoes. He was not the biggest fan at first, but now he loves them and also enjoys peas, applesauce, and prunes-what a big boy!

Here's one more video and the explanation behind it. Marshall always rolls his ankles when he gets excited, which I actually think a lot of babies do, but regardless, I just love it! So whenever it is time to eat or whenever he sees a toy he wants his little ankles just start moving. Anyway, one night during dinner I decided to snap a little video so I could always remember his little baby feet making tiny circles in the air. I'm probably the only person who cares about this, but here it is anyway. :)
