Videos from Vernal

Just some videos from our week in Vernal with Richard's parents. Amazing what one can do with a stick horse and the BYU Marching Band. Fortunately, Marshall didn't break one thing the entire week with that horse!

Welcome Home

A month of mail, not so fun to sort through. We let Marshall do most of the work.

What You Don't Want To See On A Road Trip

Richard's mom, Becky, was a saint and made the drive from Utah to Milwaukee with Marshall and me. (Richard had to finish out the entire month in Utah.) Anyway, on day one of our drive we came upon this...

That's right, this is the worker who is supposed to be holding the stop sign during road construction. You know its going to be a LONG stop when the worker is sitting on the side of the road eating his LUNCH!

After several minutes of waiting I got out of the car and asked the worker how long we were going to be stopped. He told me it would be 15-20 minutes-great. :( Thankfully we were only the second car in line and it was a cool day so we just turned the car off and enjoyed the breeze. Marshall didn't seem to mind the delay too much-that's an even bigger blessing!

Utah Wrap-Up

Well, here we are in December and I think I will finally wrap up our September in Utah. Here are just some pictures of fun, but random events, during our trip.

A trip to the park with Grandma Laura.

Making friends with some ducks.

Very friendly ducks who aren't afraid to leave the water to get some food!

Another playground.

The day before we left Utah Marshall and I drove to Vernal because Richard's mom was going to drive back to Milwaukee with Marshall and me while Richard finished his rotation in Provo. After dinner we went out for ice cream and Grandpa Bob and Marshall shared a bowl. (Marshall had never had much interest in ice cream so I told Bob that we didn't need to get Marshall any.) Well, Marshall LOVED this ice cream and after just a few bites he didn't let Bob eat anymore! Bob was a good sport about the whole thing and this is how the evening ended...Marshall completely finishing every last drop of ice cream.

Since this event Marshall has gone back to not really liking ice cream-sorry Bob! :)

25 Weeks

Baby bump at 25 1/2 weeks. I would say she and I have both grown a little bit in the last five weeks. :)

Actually, right at about 22 weeks was when I popped out. On Tuesday of that week I was still wearing my regular clothes, but on Thursday morning I woke up and I couldn't button any of my pants-crazy how fast that can happen!

This girl sure is an active little gal. I have already felt her hiccups and Richard has been able to feel her move too (that took a while with Marshall). I am still feeling great, which I'm sure grateful for. Now I just need the next 15 weeks to fly by!

Hogle Zoo Take Two

My mom and I took Marshall to the Hogle Zoo for one more adventure. He really does love seeing the animals and we had a great morning.

Marshall loves the elephants and it was cute watching the baby elephant. Marshall has a little blue elephant that he frequently carries around. I love the way he says it, "elphanan".

Another ride on the carousel.

Can't miss the cougars; the favorite animal in the Leake household. :)

Grandma Laura and Marshall on the train.

Just a fun video with the water ball, he loves it! Enjoy. :)

Safety First

Marshall discovered bike helmets while we were in Utah and they quickly became a favorite. Just some fun photos of the little man with his head protection. :)

Concentrating so hard...
