I seem to always be a month behind with this girl. But, regardless, she is doted on and adored in this house. Here are some things about Rachel at this fun age.
At 15 months she was 31.25 inches (67%), 19 lbs. 8 oz. (21%), and 46.7 cm head (75%)
She just takes one nap a day now, 2-3 hours, and sleeps 11-12 hours at night.
She loves to read books with us, especially Richard, during the day and before nap time. But, when it comes to bedtime, this girl literally lunges for her crib. Occasionally, we get a little rocking in with her, and if we are lucky, a song and prayer, otherwise, she is trying to get in there as fast as she can. She will lay right down with her blanket and doll and wave to us as we walk out of the room. It is so cute.
She still loves to play peek-a-boo and do "So Big".
She is a fast little walker/runner. When she doesn't want to do something she will run away from us and hide in a corner in the kitchen.
We finally ditched the bottles just before 15 months. She hasn't had any milk since. But, she does love juice, although we do limit that to every few days. Other than that, this girl is just drinking water.
She loves cereal, toast, pumpkin bread, crackers, yogurt, strawberries, bananas, sometimes apples and pears, cheese, meatballs, all pastas. Not a fan of the veggies. She does not like french fries, a first for our kids! This is a good thing though. :)
She can say Bridget! We think she thinks everyone is Bridget, because that is frequently what she calls the rest of us. She sometimes says please, amen, mommy, and daddy.
She is very possessive of my lap anytime I am sitting down. She doesn't always have to be on it, but if anyone else is, she is sure to bully them off. The other day at playgroup I was reading a book to the kids on the floor. Of course, they were all crowded around me, some of them touching my legs. Rachel was trying her hardest to pry everyone off of me. She wasn't whining, just busy moving everyone out of the way!
She gives the very best hugs and Richard and I love it!
Richard calls her his minion, hence the hat. She really will do anything he asks her to do. Their favorite is he will tell her to go tickle someone and she runs to them with a twinkle in her eye and her little fingers moving back and forth. It makes us laugh every time.
All around, she is the perfect third child. She is usually easy going, quick to be appeased, but can hold her own, and let's us know what she wants.

She hates the car and this seems to be getting worse with age, sadly! In fact, she hates the car, being strapped in a cart, and lately, she hates even walking into stores. It makes things difficult sometimes.
She has figured out how to climb up the bunk bed stairs, although she can't quite manage to get all the way up to the top bunk, fortunately! However, once on the top stair she figured out she can go on her tummy, and get down to Bridget's bed. She makes this little loop many times each day.
In November she snuck outside into the snow in bare feet. Richard was outside, I was inside, and we both noticed it at the same time. She was just standing in the driveway smiling, but shivering.
This girl adores baby dolls. She will be in luck come Christmas. :) I have even caught her this December walking around with the angel from the Little People nativity. She will rock it, burp it, hold it; it is so sweet!
