The day after school got out, for the fifth summer in a row, we made the trek to Green Bay to visit our beloved Bay Beach Amusement Park. We carpooled with the Hassells, left at 8:00 am and got home at 6:00 pm. A perfect day of fun, fun, fun. Two other friends joined us up there and despite Rachel's hour of crying for some unknown reason, the day was wonderful. So glad we could fit this in one more time.
Rachel was a natural with the shooting airplanes. This girl always surprises me.
The shooting airplanes have been Marshall's favorite five years running.
This is the view from the little train at Bay Beach. I just love it.
Marshall found the Packers horse on the carousel. He was delighted, especially because he specifically wore his Packer shirt for the day.
I have to tell a story about this next picture. Marshall has always liked this giant blue slide; however, he always gets super nervous climbing the stairs to the top. He has also been short enough that he has always had to ride with an adult so I've been able to keep him calm while we've been climbing to the top. Obviously, this year, I could not do the slide and there were enough short kids that all the moms, except me, had to ride with a child. Marshall, completely on his own, said he didn't need to ride with an adult and that he could go all by himself. I watched him climb and climb the stairs with Anna and I was just so proud of him. I was even more proud as I watched him get his sack ready and push himself off. He did admit to me that he got pretty nervous at the top, but Anna helped him be brave and he did just great! I love this boy!
Look at those four cute kids, all best of friends.
Most of our crew, minus my two girls who refused to cooperate. :)
