Rachel's 2nd Birthday

Our little Rachel Louise turned two on August 7th.  It was a fun, fun day celebrating our little gal.  We just adore her.

She slept in again, just like she did last year.  We ended up waking her up about 7:30 so Richard could have some time with her before going to work.  She was not exactly thrilled to be woken up and then mauled with attention.  That is why I could not escape the picture!

She requested donuts for breakfast so I made a Krispy Kreme run early that morning.  Yum!

We spent the morning at home and she hoarded all of her gifts, rightly so.

We finally made it out of the house and went to a park for playgroup.  She is looking so grown up.

For dinner we had one of her favorite meals, fettucinne alfredo, a girl after my own heart.  :)  Rachel is not a lover of cake, but she does LOVE ice cream sandwiches, hence her birthday treat.  Love that little face.

We sang her happy birthday both in the morning and at night and she loved it!  Sometimes she even sang along!  It was delightful.  She has now perfected walking around saying, "Happy birthday!"  She warms our hearts.  :)

That night we took the kids to Elm Grove Park for a movie, "Big Hero 6".  There were good family moments, but Rachel was CRAZY, as I suppose any two year old would be.  During the movie she threw grass at people, hit people, and the low light was when she threw her shoe into some poor family's bowl of popcorn.  She spent some time in the car with Richard after that.  Despite all of this though, we love this girl!  And now enjoy a bunch of family selfies.
